It was a beautiful day for a hike in the Northwest! We headed out after Ava's morning nap to Carbon River, inside of Mt. Rainier National Park. Ava loved the outdoors, and it was so fun to get out and enjoy Tim's day off as a family. Here are a few pictures from our day!
This was our first time using this pack, and Ava had a blast in it!

She especially enjoyed playing with Daddy's hair and tickling the back of his neck on our hike.

We stopped for a picnic lunch on the side of the trail. It was a little tricky trying to feed Ava a jar of sweet potatoes while she was more interested in trying to pick up rocks and dirt and put those in her mouth instead!

All three of us.

Ava wants to go hiking again! . . . with her Grandma and Grandpa Rodes!! Way to "seize the day" and build the memories. Love you!
That's so fun! We took Parker hiking for the first time a few weeks ago and he did the same thing to Jeff's neck and head! I'm glad you're enjoying your summer!!
Glad that you are able to spend more family time together! Ava a such a doll.
