Can you believe it, Ava is three weeks old already! It seems like only yesterday she was born and we were bringing her home from the hospital. Well, after what seems like an infinite number of dirty diapers and hours spent awake in the middle of the night, our little girl is three weeks and one day old today.
Steph and I have really enjoyed the transition to parenthood, really! Ava is such a joy and a blessing from God that we will celebrate for the rest of our lives. We really don't mind all of the dirty diapers. Isn't that what everyone thinks about first when it comes to newborns, the diapers ? Our little one is a champ in this department, which just tells Steph and I that she is a perfectly healthy baby. We definitely have had our funny diaper moments and have even taken to classifying her diapers. Don't tell Starbucks, but we have begun to classify her diapers as: "short", "tall", "grande", and even "venti"!
In all seriousness, every moment with Ava is precious. Those moments when we can hold Ava in our arms, sleeping, and can just marvel at the beauty of God's creation.
This past Friday was Halloween. We had a total of five trick-or-treaters the whole night! Nice! We just relaxed at home with Ava and watched a movie.
Enjoy the new pics!

She is SO CUTE! It's encouraging to hear that you're both adjusting so well to parenthood... that means there's hope for Chris and me, right? :)
